Technical Ability and Musical Sensitivity

Music making is the marriage of technical ability and musical sensitivity. They are needed in balance and must be present for music to really work. Basically the musician must be able to play and play so with heart and expression. You will no doubt have experienced a non-technical musician, who’s heart may well have been in place but who’s hands or voice have let them down, or on the other side a musician who can play incredibly well but who lacks a certain connection to their audience or feeling to their music.

If you think closely about the most powerful music you have experienced you will see these energies dancing, an incredible or proficient musician expressing a heartfelt piece to the universe.
